Launch Week III Day 2 introduced Search V2 with major performance enhancements and upgraded user experience for product discovery. The update includes a sleek new UI, OpenAPI endpoint indexing for direct API queries, hidden page filtering, and component attribute searchability, making it easier for users to find relevant documentation and API references instantly.
For Day 2, we're excited to bring you Search V2 🔍
The best search experiences enable users to find what they need instantly, allowing them to discover relevant user guides, APIs, and content to use your product.
Available today for all Mintlify users, Search V2 brings major performance enhancements and an upgraded user experience for product discovery.
Why it matters
Many users rely on search to navigate documentation efficiently. If they struggle to find the information they need, it can lead to frustration and an increase in support tickets.
That's why we've listened to your feedback and are excited to ship improvements, such as:
- An Upgraded UI: We've updated our search experience to feel sleek, clean, and modern.
- Indexing OpenAPI endpoints: Now, you can directly query endpoint descriptions and titles to reach API Reference pages.
- Remove hidden pages from search: MDX files not included in mint.json will not show up in the sidebar or search bar.
You can set the following in the mint.json to get these pages indexed for the search results
"seo": {
"indexHiddenPages": true
}
- Indexing support for components: Now, JSX attributes of all of our components, including Card titles, are searchable.
